Lead City University Chapel Presents: The Minstrel

On the 9th of December 2010, Lead City University Chapel organised a gospel music contest themed "The Minstrel" The competition was open to all members of the University chapel. Sixteen contestants, contested to become the minstrel. The competition had three stages. The first stage had all the contestants come up to present their first song. The Audience was the judge for this stage. The second stage had only six contestant who had the highest vote of the audience. The judges and faculty presided over the top three who would move to the final stage. The third stage was tough, with only three contestant, the judges had to deliberate with the audience before the winner could emerge.

The Event was anchored by Anu Adelakun and Extreme. Deola, contestant number 4 won the talent hunt and walked away with a whooping sum of N100,000 and a Record Label Deal. She would also have the opportunity to sing along on stage with Pastor E.A Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
