M-NET SET TO HOST NEW HOUSEMATES FOR BIG BROTHER AFRICA 6

In preparation for the sixth edition of Africa’s most popular reality TV show, Big Brother Africa, organizers of the show, MNET are in search of aspiring house mates.

The 91-day programme is set to host participants from 14 different African countries which include Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, SouthAfrica, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

M-Net has also confirmed that the new season of BIG BROTHER AFRICA begins on Sunday May 1, 2011 and will be aired on dedicated DSTV channel 198, providing 24/7 live coverage throughout the 91 day duration of the series.

Since the inception of the show in 2003, winners have emerged from different parts of the continent. In season 1, Zambia’s Cherise Makubale was the winner, In season 2 Tanzania’s Richard Bezuidenhout won, In season 3, Angola’s Ricco Venancio was the winner while the duo of Nigeria’s Kevin Pam Chuwang and Uti Nwachukwu, were winners for season’s 4 and 5 respectively – with each of them going home with the impressive $200 000(N30m). Who will then be the winner in 2011?

The criteria for entry therefore includes possession of a valid passport, fluency in English Language, member of one of the above named countries and must be above the age of 20.

To this effect, interested participants are advised to obtain, fill and return an entry form at any Multi-Choice office in their respective country of location OR log on to http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/ , download an entry form, fill and mail to bba@endemol.co.za. All entries are expected to be submitted not later than February 27, 2011.

Selected entrants will then be contacted by the show’s production team and will be further advised on the next steps in the audition process.
