Miss Omolewa walks the runway at the IFE FASHION SHOW.

GET READY NIGERIA , FASHION IS ABOUT TO HIT NIGERIA’S OLDEST CITY!

Miss Toluwalase, the current Miss Omolewa Nigeria will be walking the catwalk at the University of Ife fashion show. This is the first platform in the history of the university that has been created to promote student entrepreneurship in the fashion industry. One of our goals is to ensure financial independence amongst university graduates, as this will reduce the demand for scarce white collar jobs.

Being the first of its kind, anticipation for the show has gone wild! This is the first time in the Miss Omolewa Pageant , that the winner of the teenage beauty contest will be allowed to walk the runway. ‘we are glad to be associated with such a big event , its new , its creative, its Nigerian!’ Ayotunde Fabamwo , President House of Twitch, producer s of the Miss Omolewa.

Also walking the runway will be Aminat Abiola, Miss World University – Osun State , Seun Oluwadare Miss Ekimogun and Mr Osun Nigeria at the Mr Ideal Nigeria , Dotun Thompson, all who are products of BlackNBold, organisers of the event and currently Osun state’s largest model agency.

Abiola , CEO of BlackNBold says ‘the show is going to be amazing and full of so much energy and class’.

A heart for Christmas

If you have not read it you can simply do yourself a favor by CLICKING HERE SHARPLY... and remember also that the Miss Omolewa Foundation also had their charity pageant show in Akure sometime in October this year. Trust me I was also there to cover the event. You can also view the pictures from the event by CLICKING HERE . So to the main post............

Just over one month ago, in the ancient city of Akure, Moyin's life was changed forever. This small town girl packed her bags and made her way to her new home base in Akure. What followed was a non stop fast paced calender of activities which Moyin had only imagined. It will be a life changing journey for Moyin.

This Christmas, she is working with Kids2teens foundation, organizing a party on the 21st of Dec at Kids2teens resource center Ijapo Akure, for motherless babies, orphans and vulnerable kids.

She says 'This will be a year I will take with me forever'

THE MISS OMOLEWA REACH OUT

Hello Trends, today am blogging about a charity organisation I found on facebook. It's actually a Nigerian charity organisation stated by a group of young lads headed by FABAMWO Ayotunde. I got in touch with him and we had a short chat over yahoo messenger he made it clear that the prestigious MISS OMOLEWA started last year and had it's first show in Ibadan, southwestern Nigeria. It was sponsored by Wotclef and Twitch and Stiles events. The event geared towards creating campaigns about children causes in Nigeria. Last year's event was all about creating awareness about child labor eradication and in that regard the winner "Miss Tinuade" was the spoke person for child labor eradication.

Ayotunde (founder) and Miss Tinuade (Miss Omolewe 2009).

On their plans for the event this year, they plan to raise money for the education of children in Nigeria. This years event comes up in the month of October (23) in the ancient city of Akure in Ondo State, south western Nigeria. Young teenage Nigerian girls would contest for the crown of the MISS OMOLEWA 2010. Tips from the organizers says this year's event would be better and more fulling than last year's event. It's a must not miss event happening this year for the sake of sending a child to school.

I have to end here trends so see you tomorrow for another edition of TRENDS by Bukchris. Till then keep "TRENDING"
